FAQ

How large are the jars? And how much do they cost?

Each jar is 24oz. and $18

What ingredients do you use?

Beef bones, carrot, onion, parsnip, celery, garlic, parsley, thyme, bay leaf, black peppercorns, kosher salt.

Where do you get your ingredients?

We source our bones from trusted butchers and farms that specialize in grass-fed, pasture-raised beef. We use a special blend of knuckle, marrow, and femur bones carved fresh for each batch. Our vegetables and aromatics come from local markets, chosen at the peak of freshness. Every batch begins with these simple, honest ingredients—no shortcuts, no compromises—so the broth in your jar reflects the same care and quality you would expect in your own kitchen.

What is your cooking process?

Our beef bones are roasted, and then simmered with fresh vegetables and aromatics for 12+ hours, allowing time to maximize health benefits and flavor. The result is a highly gelatinous broth that tastes great and is deeply satisfying.

When and where do you deliver?

We deliver throughout NYC. At checkout, simply choose the day and time that best fits your schedule.

How much is delivery?

Your first delivery is complimentary. Subsequent deliveries are $10, which includes a $5 deposit for the delivery bag, jars, and ice packs which your broth will be delivered in. When you return these items, you will be credited up to $5 towards your next purchase.

How does delivery work?

You will receive a text or email the day before your scheduled delivery, and again on day of with an estimated one-hour arrival window. For contactless deliveries, we’ll send a final notification with a photo confirming your drop-off.

What if I'm not home to receive broth?

Your broth will be delivered in insulated bags with ice packs designed to maintain refrigerator temperatures for ~4 hours. That means you don’t need to be home at the time of delivery. We do, however, encourage our customers to refrigerate as soon as possible to ensure quality.

Just let us know the best place to safely leave your bone broth in the 'special instructions' section on the checkout page. Once the bag is delivered, you will receive a photo confirmation.

How do you suggest I consume your bone broth?

We created Bear King Broth to be enjoyed as a sipping broth — simply heat it on the stove or in the microwave and savor it on its own. That said, many of our customers also fold it into their cooking, from soups and risottos to braises and sauces. However you choose to use it, the quality and depth of flavor remain the same.

What if I don't finish broth right away?

We suggest you do not put glass jars in the freezer. However, you can transfer to a freezer safe container and store up to 6 months.

What is your recycling program?

We invite customers to return their glass jars, along with the insulated bags and ice packs that arrive with each order. Each piece is cleaned, cared for, and put back into circulation — a cycle of reuse that reflects the same respect for resources with which we craft our product.

Testimonials

I drink a cup of bone broth first thing every morning. When I wake up, I don't have much of an appetite, so it's a great way to start my day with the protein, collagen, and nutrients my body craves.

Lara, LES

My husband and I go to the gym at night after work and we try not to eat before bed so we religiously split a jar of broth for our post gym protein and electrolyte drink. Game changer.

Jithma, Long Island City

It's crack

Amy, Bay Ridge

BKB is the opposite of every other bone broth I've tried. It actually tastes good, I know it's fresh and made locally, and I really like that it comes in glass jars and not a plastic pouch or shelf stable cardboard container.

Kat, Park Slope

This might be TMI but I think it’s reduced my period cramps. And when I was traveling for work and didn't have access to it, the cramps came back. Only to be relieved again when I came home. Your broth is a miracle.

Lauren, Chelsea

Bear King Broth is by far my favorite bone broth and I genuinely look forward to enjoying it every day with my breakfast. Not only does it taste amazing, but I've also noticed real benefits for my skin and hair since making it part of my routine.
